Express as a single logarithm: log3 2 + 1 ⁄ 3 * log3 a
Note: to indicate a logarithm, just write “\log”. (Without a backslash, I'll think you mean l*o*g.) To indicate the base, you use brackets, for example “\log” for a logarithm with base 2.
